May 2016 – Nexus Real Estate has recently renewed the lease agreement with Samskip for office building DockWorks II located at Waalhaven O.Z. 81 in Rotterdam. Samskip leases approximately 4,000 sqm of office space and 101 parking spaces.
Samskip is an international logistics multinational, which offers transport and related services by land, sea, rail and air care – with a particular focus on cost efficiency combined with sustainable and environmentally friendly transport.
With annual sales of 625 million euros Samskip is one of the largest transport companies in Europe, with offices in 24 countries in Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia.
Since the completion of the building in 2007, Samskip has its worldwide head office located in the Dockworks II building. With this prolongation Samskip chooses again – because of its strategic location in the port of Rotterdam, the high quality and good appearance of the building – for a long-term commitment at this location.
The Dockworks II building is part of a larger real estate portfolio, managed since the end of 2015 by Nexus Real Estate. This new lease agreement is in line with the strategy drawn up by Nexus to add value to the property in the short term.
