Nexus extends lease agreement with the Central Government Real Estate Agency in Courtyard building in Utrecht

With effect from May 1, 2023, Nexus Real Estate has renewed the lease agreement with the Central Government Real Estate Agency in respect of 16,851 m² of office space and 695 m² of archive space for the Dutch Tax Administration.

The Dutch Tax Administration has been based in Couryard Building since 2008. With effect from 1 May 2023, a new long-term lease has been entered into for approximately 16,851 m² of office space, 695 m² of archive space and 235 parking spaces in the underground car park. This reconfirms the Dutch Tax Administration’s long-term commitment as the Courtyard Building’s largest tenant. Other major users in the building include Bristol-Myers Squibb, DTN Europe and V&VN.

Courtyard Building was completely renovated in 2018, with a large number of facilities added on the ground floor such as a gym, coffee bar, several meeting rooms, an auditorium and a large outdoor space with several ponds and plenty of greenery.

By 2022, the building’s EPC label has been improved from label B to label A+. In January this year, the landlord started the process to BREEAM certify the building. In addition, the central entrance of the building will undergo a renovation in 2023, with even more emphasis on the connection with the outdoor space in combination with the pleasant informal ‘living room atmosphere’ that Courtyard Building is known for.

Courtyard Building is part of a larger real estate portfolio managed by Nexus Real Estate on behalf of Tristan Capital Partners since 2019.
