As of December 1, 2020, Nexus Real Estate has let all remaining vacant office space in the office building at the Leonard Springerlaan 31 in Groningen to the Central Government Real Estate Agency (Rijksvastgoedbedrijf). The Dutch State has leased 2,011 m² of office space and 44 parking spaces for a period of 5 years.
This lease follows the renewal with 6 years of the existing lease agreement with Bilfinger Tebodin Netherlands, earlier in March of this year, with regard to 1,771 m² of office space and 48 parking spaces.
In the past year, Nexus has invested in a renovation of the central entrance and the general areas of the building. The climate system has also been renovated and a new parking access control system with number plate recognition has been installed. Furthermore, the energy label for the building has been improved from label C to label A.
The building at the Leonard Springerlaan is part of a larger real estate portfolio that has been under management at Nexus Real Estate since 2018. Nexus was advised in this transaction by NextFund Real Estate Advisors.
